Challenge

The global Economy, the interdependence of complex issues and the shift of hierarchies to networks has made traditional forms of governance obsolete.  No challenges of today much less adapt quickly to the challenges of tomorrow.  The political process has led to further fragmentation along the lines of single interests vying for resources and influence.  Comprehensive, highly leveraged sustainable solutions cannot be accomplished in this environment.

Vision

In order to unify the community behind a shared vision, goals, and set of strategies, a Circle of Stewards consisting of the leaders of the three spheres, representatives of organizations committed to serving the whole, demonstrated stewards, and elected officials must represent the whole.  This body will preserve and renew the community vision, insure the resource alignment behind shared strategies to achieve it, host retreats and workshops, and communicate and monitor results.  A great community has coordinated leadership, an effective political sector and engaged institutions, citizens, and philanthropy.
